This Year’s Spring Loaded Event Brings the Best of Craft Beer and Snowsports to Lake Tahoe

Just because the sun is out, doesn’t mean you can’t plan a trip to the snow! In South Lake Tahoe, they celebrate the crisp springtime weather with a month-long event that combines fun outdoor activities like snowboarding, yoga, and running, with everyone’s favorite mountain beverage – craft beer!

The Scoop

Spring Loaded is an annual event held this year from March 14th – April 7th. Every day offers new activities that appeal to all types of groups. Those seeking to break a sweat can hit the slopes for skiing and snowboarding session with pro athletes during Roxy: Make Waves Move Mountains. For family fun, kids ride free on the local snowmobile tour and scenic lake cruise. Of course, you can always relax with a tasty brew on the South Tahoe Beer Trail or the Spring Loaded Brew Bus Tour!

Nighttime Entertainment

The fun doesn’t stop once the sun sets since Spring Loaded offers a variety of evening events. One of our favorites is the Snowshoe Cocktail Races at the Beacon Bar & Grill where racers try their hand at balancing cocktail trays through obstacles up and down the lakefront. For a more mystical night, check out the alluring Magic Fusion show at the Loft Theatre & Lounge. Adventure lovers will appreciate a viewing of Life Cycles at South Lake Brewing Company, a film that highlights “nature’s most beautiful, dramatic, and sometimes unforgiving landscapes.”
