While Disney World is an obvious choice for family activities in Orlando, to get the full thrill of the park you have to hop on the back of an Avatar Banshee and explore Pandora at the Animal Kingdom’s newest attraction, the Flight of Passage Ride. True fans can plan on celebrity sightings, by tracking down their favorite princesses through the park and getting their autographs. Finally, you can take a tour around the world without hopping on a plane, by visiting Epcot’s World Showcase which gives you a glimpse into the exotic cultures of 11 different countries.

Get a Dose of Nature

Florida’s unique ecosystem of coast, marsh, swamp, and mangroves, make it home to a range of different plants and animals. You can easily spend a day kayaking or canoeing in Lake Louisa State Park and spot the local bobcats, tortoises and fox squirrels. For a closeup encounter with some of Orlando’s famous wildlife, step into Discovery Cove, where you can feed birds, snorkel, and swim with dolphins.
