A Modern Day Western
In May, Jackson Hole celebrates its rodeo roots with Old West Days, a festival that puts Western culture at the forefront. Happening from May 25 – 28th, Old West Days features parades, live music, local beer, rodeos, and plenty of family activities. On top of that, there are free educational tours that give you the historical rundown of Jackson Hole, and you’ll even have complimentary access to the Jackson Hole Historical Society & Museum. Feel the Twang of the West
In true old west style, Old West Days lets you experience some time-honored traditions first-hand. Some of the crowd favorites during the festival are the leisurely stagecoach rides that take you around town square, a rowdy cowboy rodeo show, and the Jackson Hole Shootout, which gives you front row seats to a re-enactment of a real live duel. But take note: “there’s no shootin’ on Sundays!”
Old West Brew Fest
The wildest part of Old West Days is the Old West Brew Fest. Running strong for over 30 years, dozens of local brewers congregate to showcase their latest libations to visitors and locals in an effort to win beer glory with the prized Golden Boot.
