See Jackson Hole’s Birds of Prey Take Flight at the Teton Raptor Center

When you think of a raptor, the first image that comes to mind may be straight out of Jurassic Park. However, today’s raptors refer to any bird of prey, ranging from a falcon to a hawk to an owl. These predators of the sky are some of the most majestic birds around, but unfortunately, they’re in danger of seeing the same fate of extinction as their prehistoric counterparts. In Jackson Hole, the Teton Raptor Center dedicates itself to the research, education, and preservation of these species in hopes that generations to come can still experience the beauty of these species.

An Educational Trip for the Whole Family

On the last Saturday of every month, the Teton Raptor Center holds their Public Raptor Encounter Program. During this hour-long program, you’ll catch a glimpse of the center’s resident raptors and learn all about their ecosystem and conservation efforts. This is a great experience for adults and kids alike, so feel free to bring the whole family along.  Click here for information on how to participate in the program.
