It’s a triple “S” kind of city – sunshine, sand and the shining blue sea. Welcome to Vero Beach, Florida, a picturesque beach town settled on the spectacular Treasure Coast. Florida’s Treasure Coast refers to an Atlantic stretch of coastline named after the Spanish treasure fleet that was lost in a hurricane in 1715. Much of the treasure was never found and some believe it’s still out there waiting to be discovered.
Yet, the real treasure lies in Vero Beach, the weekend of October 7th and 8th in the form of musical bliss.
For the first year ever, Vero Beach is presenting the inaugural Beach Town Music Festival. Over the course of two days the best of country and rock music can be enjoyed at the Indian River County Fairgrounds.
This is a seriously star-studded lineup, featuring headliners Jake Owen, a Vero Beach native and outrageously talented country music star, and rock singer/songwriter Bret Michaels.
The talent doesn’t end with the headliners, though. Expect to hear tunes from The Gin Blossoms, David Nail, Edwin McCain, Clare Dunn, LA Guns, David Ray, Scotty Emerick and Adley Stump.
The Indian River County Fairgrounds features a whopping 139 acres of outdoor and indoor facilities. There’ll be plenty of room left over for vendors, of which there will be many selling everything from delectable cuisine to special concert gear. Besides the music, food and goods, there will be interactive displays and experiences to enjoy.
The music alone is well worth the ticket price, but you can transcend the festival event into an entire Vero Beach weekend getaway. If you aren’t yet acquainted with Vero Beach, we’ll let you in on a little secret it’s a quaint seaside village, and a rare Florida gem.
A weekend immersed in the sophisticated coastal hamlet will leave you feeling refreshed, energized and ready to take on the week ahead. Combine that with the Beach Town Music Festival and you’ve got one unforgettable weekend ahead.
After a full day of rocking out to the tunes and exploring the beautiful town, nothing will sound better than retreating to a comfortable and luxurious hotel room. Costa d’Este Resort & Spa is second to none in the accommodation category in Vero Beach. Designed in the Art Deco style and owned by the world-famous duo Gloria and Emilio Estefan, this beachfront resort can be the cherry on top of your perfect weekend.
